The Odd Ball

Come and dance with your odd friends!

This is a called English Country style dance. We'll have live music and a dance instructor leading you through the steps. The event takes place at the beautifully-appointed Masonic Temple in Yreka, just one block from the Yreka 19 Odd Fellows building. No experience or partner necessary. It helps to know your right from left, but if you can walk, you can dance!

The doors open at 7PM, and the dance begins at 7:30. There will be three sets divided by two intermissions. During the intermissions, we're planning a wine auction and a cake walk. Requested attire is "Festive, Formal, or Historical*".

While available, the tickets sold here get you full access to all dances. Once they run out, "audience" tickets will be sold at the door for $10. Audience tickets will still get people inside, but in order to make sure that there's sufficient space for dancers to move around, people with audience tickets will need to sit out the dances unless there's enough people with regular tickets taking a break from dancing, which usually happens later in the set.

*historical in this instance means mainly mid-to-late 19th century, but that's merely a suggestion
