Sharon Hale

I was initiated as an Odd Fellow in Davis Lodge #169 in 2018. After attending numerous events that the Odd Fellows were putting on, and liking the people that I met there, it just made sense to join and get in on the fun. When my dad found out that I had joined, he told me that my great-grandfather had been an Odd Fellow in Riverbank, CA – I’m also carrying on a family tradition!

Sara Bruce
I am relatively new to Odd Fellowship, joining in January 2023. I am very fond of animals, particularly cats and have volunteered with rescue organizations. I enjoy attending Opera and volunteer with the Friends of Opera San Jose. I also love many kinds of music and performing arts. I like to make cocktails but also enjoy craft brews and good wine. As a gardener I’ve been flooding my lodge with zucchini this summer.

In the musical Nunsense she played a nun as Reverend mother superior. In her spare time she enjoys woodworking, songwriting and being Past Grand of Gold Hill, Oregon Lodge #129. I have served on the Odd Fellows Home of California Board of Directors two terms.
Mason Wolf

Mason joined the Odd Fellows in 2019 and soon took an interest in degree work, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Richard “Dick” Brouse. He served as Noble Grand of his home lodge in 2023, which was the same year that Richard Brouse passed away. It was this painful loss that pushed him to help resurrect the cave degree, which at that time had been halted due to both the extensive amount of repair work needed, as well as the lack of members at Yreka 19 able to put it on. To bring it back, many people and lodges volunteered to assist in the restoration, and the degree lodge was established to take on the actual degree work going forward. In helping to organize this work, Mason Wolf became the first Degree Master in California in 50 years.
