2025 “Odd Con” Degree Weekend

Announcing the 76th Odd Fellows Cave Degree: September 5-7, 2025

The 76th Odd Fellows Degree weekend is going to be different from our regular tradition in several important ways. Since the cave degree is now run by a formally-instituted degree lodge, the members have been thinking about how to make the experience more beneficial to the Order as well as more enjoyable for those who attend. Instead of the usual program where people arrive Saturday morning, take initiatory through second degree throughout the day, and follow it with the third degree on Sunday before they head home, the schedule will begin on the Friday evening before.

  • Friday
    • 5-6PM – Meeting of Richard Brouse Degree Lodge #190 (open to 3rd degree members)

Registration for the cave degree is $65, and includes Lunch and Dinner on Saturday, as well as brunch on Sunday. The Odd Ball is a separate ticketed event, at $25. Attendees are welcome to register for one or both using the form below. A single person can register multiple attendees at a time, up to 8. If you need to register more than 8, please contact us by email, at oddfellowscavedegree@gmail.com.

Non-members may attend the Odd Ball, but only members and elected candidates for membership may sign up for Odd Con and participate in the degrees.

To receive one or more degrees, you must have a letter under seal of your lodge naming you as a qualified candidate. The letter should be addressed to Richard Brouse Degree Lodge #190, sealed, and signed by the lodge Noble Grand or Secretary.

To receive the patriarchal degree on Sunday afternoon at the cave (initiatory degree for the encampment), you must bring a letter addressed to Davis Encampment #21, which should be sealed, and signed by either the scribe or chief patriarch of the encampment which has elected you to membership.

Anyone who plans to stay at one of the local hotels will have a few options in the area, but if staying at the Best Western Miner’s Inn, which is the closest hotel directly opposite the street corner where Yreka 19 is located, we have a room code – 5C2SS3P4 – which offers a discount over the usual price.
